Summer Fun Fridays 2026

PTW Lucky to have a Fun Day Together at Lucky Strike!

Today, I was at Lucky Strike in Melville. I went bowling there. For lunch, me and my friends had pizza and french fries. We continued bowling afterwards. Then, some of us went into the arcade section and played arcade games, using the game cards that Molly and Tom gave us. For dessert, we had brownies, cookies and sliced strawberries. It was a fun day today.  - Eva

I enjoy Bowling and seeing Andres , Tommy D and the other 1st year students I bowled a 108 and then an 80 and I thought it was fun to do. - Jake

I had fun bowling last Friday.  I scored a strike and a spare. And for lunch we ate pizza and french fries. I played the Skee-Ball game, the claw machine and the Space Invaders game in the arcade. And for our little snack dessert we ate cookies and brownies.  -Justin

 

 

PTW Ventures out Together to Adventureland!!!!

I had a nice day at Adventureland today, Eva and I tried many different rides. As a group, we all went on the Music Express, then the three groups went respectively. Eva and I were a respective group and we went on the swings first, then we tried the Ferris wheel. After lunch, everyone went on the train all the way around the amusement park, then Eva and I were left looking for a few more rides to try. We went on the Music Express again, then the Turbulence, and then the Haunted Mansion. As I rode, I asked, “Hey, who predicted a blackout in here?”  - Gavin

Last Friday, I went to Adventureland in Farmingdale. At the beginning of the day, me and my friends waited so long for Molly and Tom to get bracelets for us. Then, I went on many rides like Musik Express, Mystery Mansion, Turbulence Coaster, Wave Swing, Train, and Ferris Wheel. I also went to the restaurant to have lunch. I had fun. I look forward to the next Fun Friday.  -Eva

6/12/26    Wow PTW had an awesome bash this past Friday at Aiden's house in the Hamptons! All of Aiden's family were present dad, brother, sister, and his mom Terrie who was amazing at making everyone feel welcomed and at home. It was great to see and meet everyone. The food and treats were plentiful and delicious! The generosity and hospitality was much much appreciated by everyone. The dj had us boppin all day a perfect mix for a summer backyard jam. There was a lifeguard there to keep everyone safe.  Aiden aka Artie Shumaker was the host with the most servin up pickleballs left and right(literally, he had us on our toes!). Aiden also had all his friends in the pool, at times he was being funny trying to trick Molly as usual with jokes. He was the man of the party even jumping on the dj set to do some scratchin on the mix. What a wonderful, relaxing, cool party! Let's hear from some of Aiden's friends from PTW.

I had a nice day today at Aiden’s house way out east in the Hamptons. It was lots of fun that I got to go swimming - and even some female students like being nice and neat. The party at Aiden’s house sure was lots of fun. I got to go in the hot tub and in the pool and some students played pickleball. That was lots of fun, wasn’t it?   - Gavin

This party was so fun! I loved their house! I mostly just slept and went in the hot tub. It was such a relaxing day! I got to eat cookies, pizza, and lots of other yummy stuff! Keep on wolfing on, and be happy as you go about your summer!  - Christopher

Yesterday, I went to Aiden's House for a pool party.  Aiden (Artie Shumaker) hosted this event with involvement from a lifeguard and a DJ. I swam a lot and sat in the hot tub. My friends and I played pickleball in his courtyard. For the food, there was chicken tenders, mac and cheese, pizza, fruit, cookies, the crumb cake that Kim made, and sorbets. We helped ourselves to all the food that was served. What a wonderful party thanks to Aiden!   -Eva

 
 
 

 

 

Dave & Buster's 6/5/26

The trip to Dave and Busters that I went on June 5 was one of the most fun Fridays I had during my time in PTW so far. I managed to get two pens from the prize redemption area after spending all the credits I originally had. The flight simulation race (which was known as Top Gun: Maverick was a highlight of the day as it reminded me of the past where I was watching livestreams of spaceflight simulation games. As I sat down to eat lunch, I had everything that was available on the menu. It was a fun experience for me that I would want to do again in the future, especially since it was only my third time going there (the first two appearances were during summer camp trips).

 I had a fun time at Dave & Buster's last Friday.  I played the Halo  arcade game, the bowling game, The skee ball game, and The claw machine . I won a Pac-Man plushie and a lipstick plushie. I got 542 tickets and I bought a Dave & Buster's pen and a frisbee. For lunch we had the buffet lunch and we ate pizza, chicken nuggets, fries watermelon and the pretzel sticks and they were good. It was a very fun day at Dave & Buster's .     -Justin B.

 

Last Friday, I went to Dave & Buster's at the Samanea New York Mall in Westbury. I had fun there. I played many games like air hockey, Spin-N-Win, Grand Piano Keys, Pac-Man skee ball, and The Walking Dead Arcade. We had a buffet style lunch including Ultimate Cheese Flatbread, Smashed Burger Sliders, Garlic Butter Pretzel Sticks, and Crispy Chicken Bites. It was my first trip to Dave & Buster's since last summer. This trip was our first fun Friday of the summer. I look forward to more Fun Friday when the time comes.  -Eva
