8/7/26  Glow in the dark, neon monsters on the walls, spooky statues, and friends walking around playing mini golf. This how we ended our Summer Fun Fridays at PTW. Playing games in the arcade was a lot of fun as well. It was a good thing we picked an indoor activity because we were in the middle of a heat advisory with the temperature and humidity very high! Our last component of our outing that day was very fun as well. We went across the street to the Tanger Outlets of Deer Park. We grabbed a tasty lunch and then went in different directions to do a little shopping. It was a great conclusion to our recreational Fun Fridays at PTW. Molly and I had a great time sharing our summer Fridays with you all in creating wonderful memories!  - Thomas

Yesterday, me and my friends went to Monster Mini Golf in Deer Park. We played mini golf and arcade games. Then, we went into the laser maze for a short while. Later on, we went to Nathan's Famous in Tanger Outlets to have lunch. I got a cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries there. After lunch, not all of us went shopping in Tanger Outlets. So, some of us went straight home at the end of the day. It was my first trip to Tanger Outlets in Deer Park in a few years. This trip was our last fun Friday of the summer. I look forward to more Fun Fridays next year.   -Eva

On friday, we went on our final PTW fun friday to Monster Golf. Once I got there I got to see my old camp from my old school. It was amazing seeing my old friends, my old teachers and my support person who is a young man that took me and Matt to the mets game. Once the school left, the PTW crew came in and we did Mini Golf, I stayed with Matt the entire time for mini golf and the location was a bit different then the garden city location but it was still fun. It wasn't a very big group as Deer Park for some people isn't that local. When we finished Mini Golf, we did the arcade, Matt, my support person aka Mindy and I all played Deal or No Deal. Unfortunately some of the buttons didn't work so it was kinda rigged. After we did Monster Golf, we went over to Tanger Outlets. it was WAY too hot so I basically ate lunch and left. Everybody got nathan's hot dogs once we got to Tanger. I got boneless wings, Matt got Chicken Tenders, Mindy got 2 hot dogs, Justin Branch got a Chili Cheese Hot Dog and Kevin got a gluten free chicken sandwich.This was a fun time I had and wish to do this again. - Bradley S

Wow! Just wow! Can't believe this was our last Fun Friday of the year! It was a blast! Glad I got to go on the last Fun Friday and finally have our close. Hope everyday going well with you guys and hope you guys have a great summer! See y'all real soon, keep howling. - Chris 

A Visit to Sailors Haven Fire Island 2026

It was Friday July 31st and PTW was blessed with a beautiful day for our excursion to the Sunken Forest of Fire Island. We boarded the ferry at around 11:20am and found our seats. As usual the boat ride over to Fire Island was fantastic. When we got to the island Park Ranger Hannah was ready to take us on a tour of the centuries old maritime forest of Sailors Haven, known as the Sunken Forest. Ranger Hannah was wonderful! She shared her knowledge and friendliness with us and we were so happy to spend time with her and learn all about the plants, trees, animals, and history of the island. We took photos including some silly ones from Tom’s scavenger hunt list! After walking the beach shore we ended up back at the dock where we had a nice lunch. What a beautiful day together with the PTW crew. Thank you Ranger Hannah for your time with us. Another awesome PTW Fun Friday in the books! - Thomas

Fun Friday at Bounce was Fantastic!

The PTW Friends got together for another fun Friday! After Ms Alexis went over some ground rules to help keep us safe the group went over to the trampolines and started bouncing away! From there students such as Brian slammed dunked a basketball, some went right to the adventure climb zone and used their balance to walk across pathways up above. Others played dodge ball jumping up and down while tossing a soft ball. It was a ton of fun. PTW had their own party room room # 5 where we ate our lunch. Some had pizza, chicken bites, and other yummy eats. We even had cupcakes that Dimitri made at Special Sweets on Thursday. After lunch was the big show down with Moose on the Loose going against the Wild Warthogs in a friendly match of laser tag. Jake, Tommy, Gavin, Justin, and Josh did get to zap their teacher Tom a number of times!!! But Moose on the Loose and Evas team had the last laugh outscoring their opponents. It was a lot of fun and laughs. We ended the day with a lil arcade action. What a fun Friday! Next one we are off to sea on a ferry ride excursion to the Sunken Forest of Fire island!  We really are having a blast this summer having fun together as one big PTW family. -Thomas

We had a fun time at bounce last Friday. We jumped around trampolines, played laser tag, basketball, and dodgeball. For lunch I ate pepperoni flatbread pizza with a Mountain Dew as my drink. And I also played at the arcade. I had so much fun at bounce. - Justin

Yesterday, I went to Bounce! Family Center Entertainment in Syosset. There, I was on the main jumping courts. Then, I played slam dunk basketball and trampoline dodgeball. I also went on one of the adventure zones, the one by slam dunk basketball. Me and my PTW friends ordered food from Bounce! Bites for lunch. After lunch, we played laser tag followed by arcade games. It was a great day. I look forward to the next Fun Friday. - Eva

PTW Lucky to have a Fun Day Together at Lucky Strike!

Today, I was at Lucky Strike in Melville. I went bowling there. For lunch, me and my friends had pizza and french fries. We continued bowling afterwards. Then, some of us went into the arcade section and played arcade games, using the game cards that Molly and Tom gave us. For dessert, we had brownies, cookies and sliced strawberries. It was a fun day today.  - Eva

I enjoy Bowling and seeing Andres , Tommy D and the other 1st year students I bowled a 108 and then an 80 and I thought it was fun to do. - Jake

I had fun bowling last Friday.  I scored a strike and a spare. And for lunch we ate pizza and french fries. I played the Skee-Ball game, the claw machine and the Space Invaders game in the arcade. And for our little snack dessert we ate cookies and brownies.  -Justin

This place was booming with laughs, smiles, and other positive vibes! I almost got a 100 in the third game! Hope we get some nice weather in our next Fun Friday! I ate a lot of pizza and fries at the bowling alley.Have a wolfish day!

PTW Ventures out Together to Adventureland!!!!

I had a nice day at Adventureland today, Eva and I tried many different rides. As a group, we all went on the Music Express, then the three groups went respectively. Eva and I were a respective group and we went on the swings first, then we tried the Ferris wheel. After lunch, everyone went on the train all the way around the amusement park, then Eva and I were left looking for a few more rides to try. We went on the Music Express again, then the Turbulence, and then the Haunted Mansion. As I rode, I asked, “Hey, who predicted a blackout in here?”  - Gavin

Last Friday, I went to Adventureland in Farmingdale. At the beginning of the day, me and my friends waited so long for Molly and Tom to get bracelets for us. Then, I went on many rides like Musik Express, Mystery Mansion, Turbulence Coaster, Wave Swing, Train, and Ferris Wheel. I also went to the restaurant to have lunch. I had fun. 6/12/26    Wow PTW had an awesome bash this past Friday at Aiden's house in the Hamptons! All of Aiden's family were present dad, brother, sister, and his mom Terrie who was amazing at making everyone feel welcomed and at home. It was great to see and meet everyone. The food and treats were plentiful and delicious! The generosity and hospitality was much much appreciated by everyone. The dj had us boppin all day a perfect mix for a summer backyard jam. There was a lifeguard there to keep everyone safe.  Aiden aka Artie Shumaker was the host with the most servin up pickleballs left and right(literally, he had us on our toes!). Aiden also had all his friends in the pool, at times he was being funny trying to trick Molly as usual with jokes. He was the man of the party even jumping on the dj set to do some scratchin on the mix. What a wonderful, relaxing, cool party! Let's hear from some of Aiden's friends from PTW.

I had a nice day today at Aiden’s house way out east in the Hamptons. It was lots of fun that I got to go swimming - and even some female students like being nice and neat. The party at Aiden’s house sure was lots of fun. I got to go in the hot tub and in the pool and some students played pickleball. That was lots of fun, wasn’t it?   - Gavin

This party was so fun! I loved their house! I mostly just slept and went in the hot tub. It was such a relaxing day! I got to eat cookies, pizza, and lots of other yummy stuff! Keep on wolfing on, and be happy as you go about your summer!  - Christopher
