Fun Friday Are Capped off with a Bowling Gathering at the Centereach Lanes!
Last week's trip to Centereach Lanes was fun! I had a great time with my friends as we took turns demolishing the most amount of pins on the track. Soon we went to the table where we got a hold of some delicious pizza. The best part: all-you-can-eat! I ate like a beast, having up to 4 slices and I'm sure the rest of the students did too. Finally, we ended things off by playing a few rounds at the arcade; my favorite being Deadstorm Pirates. Even though this was our last fun Friday, I'm still glad I got to share these moments with my peers. Hopefully we'll meet again someday...- Caleb

My thoughts on the bowling ball trip? I just went there for the game. No friends, no arcade, not even the food, just the thrill of bowling. And watching The 90’s TMNT Movie Trilogy but the game still stands. So let’s get to the bad stuff first. The food sucks. The Lemonade felt too weird, the pizza was nearly cardboard. The Arcade is scarce. The total number of games that are there are 9. 8 of which only work. The claw machine and others winning real stuff is really unsatisfying. It rewards you with random horse plushies, cotton candy, and or rubber duckies. The only one I liked ironically was Family Guy bowling. In a bowling alley. The main thing that I liked was befittingly enough, bowling. In comparison to everyone I was 3rd place for the student with the most points scored. And I guess finishing The 90’s TMNT Movie Trilogy in one day was another good thing but even then I didn’t really care about them that much after watching all of them. I never really cared that much because even when I tried to make a conversation, they didn't bounce off anything. So overall, it was nice Ryan
I had a lot of fun at the bowling alley. We had some laughs, tasty food, and created more wonderful memories. I had fun playing the Batman and Family Guy games at the arcade. . I am sad that our Fun Flex Friday series is over, but I am excited for next year. Can't wait to see what is in store for next year. -Andy
On a fine Friday we went to the Centereach bowling alley while I bowled good while I was on a team with my friends. There was pizza served for lunch while Tom recommended to bring home a pie while there was a lot of pizza pies. Tom treated us with a $5 gift card for us to play the games at the arcade, it was fun that there was one bowling game. I made a speech about me graduating LIU and next year for the 1st year students that are going to become 2nd year students. After all that was our last fun Friday for the summer. -Matt

Dasha's Sunken Meadow Park Idea Turns Out to Be a Smash Hit!
Molly and Tom were concerned about the weather for this past Friday watching the forecast and realizing it was set to be a very hot day. One big plus was that we asked PTW’s supervisors if we could possibly swim at the beach on the day. Luckily we were given the thumbs up to swim in the water! Most of the students and some staff spent much of the day bathing in the cool waters of the sound. We took a long stroll on the boardwalk, ate at the cafe, smiled, laughed, and enjoyed each other’s company for a nice fun Friday event!

PTW is Blessed with Another Beautiful Day of Weather for our Fun Fridays! A Trip to Queens Zoo with the PTW Crew!
On Friday, I had the chance to spend a fun Friday to the Queens Zoo, and it was an absolute blast! It was fun looking at the animals, taking pictures of them and reading interesting fun facts about each animal. My favorite animals were the sea lions, coyotes and more. In the middle of the zoo, we ate lunch some people Buyed lunch and some people brought their own lunch there. I had myself a sandwich as I ordered fries and a diet coke. After lunch we continued the to look around at the zoo. After that we went to the petting zoo as there were more animals as we weren't done yet with the zoo. I was great feeding the animals there. By the way I saw an animal that looked like Lou.

Our PTW Voyage to the "Sunken Forest" of Fire Island was Awesome!
The first day of summer was finally here, and it was the perfect warm and sunny day for our 3rd Fun Friday at Sunken Forest. The excitement began as we waited for the ferry to take us across. During the ride, the breeze played with Cassidy's hair, making it look silly, and everyone was laughing and having a great time. Once we arrived, we split into groups for a scavenger hunt, where we got to explore and take pictures of all the fascinating things we discovered. Each group also read fun and interesting facts about Fire Island, making the experience both educational and exciting. Next, we embarked on a nature walk through the enchanting Sunken Forest. The shaded trails were peaceful and full of natural beauty. Afterward, we strolled along the beach, and some of us dipped our feet into the cool water. We were only allowed to go up to our ankles, but luckily, I brought flip-flops, which made walking along the sandy shore much easier. Once our nature walk was complete, it was time for lunch at Sailors Haven. Along the way, we had an unexpected laugh as we saw Martha taking a shower—completely soaked—which had me cracking up. For lunch, I treated myself to delicious chicken fingers and fries, which hit the spot after a morning full of activities. With full bellies and happy hearts, we waited for the ferry to take us back. Just like that, our first summer adventure came to an end. We wrapped up the day by wishing everyone a Happy Fourth of July and looking forward to our next adventure!

A PTW “Favorite” Fun Friday Adventureland Trip Doesn’t Disappoint!
It was a hot sunny day like prefect day to go to adventureland to go on rides! I went on many rides that I could spend the time away. My favorite ride had to be surfs up, while my favorite ride of the frisbee was closed. The rides were fun as I wished that the rides were longer so I can have much fun. They were still making the wave twitser as I thought it was ready for this spring. After a fun day I got some dip n dots. Next time I would've encouraged Lou to go on the baby rides. - Matthew Tolson
