Mock  Interview Day 7/25/23

The second year students had the opportunity to go on numerous mock interviews with representatives from 6 different types of businesses. Each student was able to practice their interview skills that were taught in class over this past semester. It was a very successful day. Thank you Maureen for your hard work in setting up this project!

Tilles Center 7/20/23

The second year students had the opportunity to learn about the theater industry for two weeks as part of their graduation approaching. We learned different breathing and warm-up exercises.  We were given a tour of the backstage area as well as access to walking on the actual stage. We witnessed how the lighting was able to cast different shades of color that can have an overall effect on the mood of the performance as it unfolds.

Day of Service at Sweetbriar Nature Preserve 6/20/23

I liked Sweetbriar on the Tuesday PTW Field trip raking gardening leaves dirt in the wheeler. I liked it there to only visit. Smithtown is a beautiful area where it is located. Laryssa, Tommy, Victor, Nora, Nick and I went. I saw a female doe deer animal saying hello to us. I do not know if we saw butterflies. We just saw the butterfly sign picture. Because I worked to volunteer on my off -campus college job site before during the school year. The Bambi deer said hi to us so cute she was. The workers were very nice all and also sweet generous people.

Sweetbriar Nature Preserve

On Tuesday June 20, 2023 I Went to Sweetbriar Nature Preserve in Smithtown. One of the tasks that I did at Sweetbriar was gardening. I took out the weeds that were no good with gloves and I used a shovel to take out the weeds. I saw a deer named Charlotte who was so cute. I loved the nature at Sweetbriar. The trip was okay even though I don’t like gardening or working with animals but It is good to experience something new and to volunteer at this job site.
