I saw the Haunted Mansion movie. It was a good movie. It is about a mansion with that was bought by a mother and her child. The only problem was that there were ghosts that came out at midnight. There was a crew that was assembled to make the ghosts disappear.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is about an Archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of history. I highly recommend this movie especially if you are a fan of this series and Harrison Ford.  This is the last one in the series. This is probably the best one yet!

Elemental Review by Laryssa Ertel

Welp, Pixar has done it again!

On Wednesday, June 21, I saw Elemental, and it was such a beautiful film! I LOVED it! It was gorgeous, amazing, and so visually stunning! Not to mention slightly emotional. I may or may not have choked up during several scenes. I also loved how this film tackled serious issues, which is something that is not always done in films like this. Ember and Wade were my favorite characters, as they were both so relatable. I can definitely resonate with both of them, since like Ember, I also have a fiery temper, and like Wade, I also get emotional very easily, and I am not afraid to show my emotions sometimes. The animation was GORGEOUS. It felt like an explosion of color in every shot, and I was astonished by it. The story was beautiful, and overall it was an excellent film! Please go see Elemental on the big screen! I am so glad Pixar released their newest film theatrically! Run, don't walk, to your local cinema and go see Elemental, since it's MEANT to be shown on the big screen! I highly recommend it!

New Star Wars Movies Release Dates Confirmed

By Ben Zion

I've been a huge Star Wars fan since 2012. Luke Skywalker is my favorite character. My favorite Star Wars movies are Revenge of the Sith, The Empire Strikes Back and The Force Awakens. Disney has announced the release dates for the three upcoming new Star Wars movies. But the bad news is, it's going to be a long wait. Back in April at the Star Wars Celebration, it was confirmed that three new live action movies were on the way. Then in May, the president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy announced that work on some of the new Star Wars films has started already, though nothing would be released until at least 2025. Now, Variety reports that a new Star Wars movie will be released on December 18, 2026. It will be preceded by a separate Star Wars movie on May 22, 2026, which was originally going to be released on December 19, 2025. I am looking forward for the new movies because I love all Star Wars movies, shows and characters.

The Little Mermaid (2023) Review by Laryssa Ertel

On Tuesday, May 30, I saw the live action remake of The Little Mermaid. It was magical! I absolutely enjoyed it, and this is coming from someone who generally doesn't care for Disney's live action remakes of their animated films. This marks the rare occasion that BOTH, the animated classic AND the live action remake were equally amazing. The live action reimagining of the iconic 1989 classic was a breath of fresh air. Halle Bailey was AMAZING as Ariel! She sang so beautifully, and her acting was excellent! She was BORN to play the role of Ariel, and this really proves it! Melissa McCarthy was AWESOME as Ursula! She really knocked it out of the park! The new songs were great, the musical numbers of the original songs were great and well-choreographed, and the visuals were so stunning! I was astonished by it all! Please go see this film ASAP! Best remake of a classic animated Disney film I've seen!

Big Time Rush album Review

by Nora Aghajani

6/8/23

The Big Time Rush album was released on June 2nd, 2023. This is Big Time Rush’s fourth studio album. The first song Can’t Get Enough is like  a cross between Jonas Brothers and One Direction material. The song, I Just Wanna Party all the Time is a traditional pop song about love and partying. The song Ask You Tonight has a guitar led tune that is similar to a Backstreet Boys tune that has harmonizing and mellow beats. The song Forget me now is about forgetting someone and moving on from a relationship in life. I love this album because I love all the songs, the show and the band.

Jonas Brothers

By Nora Aghajani

May 23rd, 2023

The Jonas Brothers album called "The Album" is the best summer soundtrack of the year. The Album which is the 6th album released for them as a band. The vibe of the album is a laid back day in the sun. The song "Miracle" has a funky base rhythm mixed with an island type of piano riff that continues to be a heartfelt letter and also makes you dance and groove. The lyrics still continue to be a heartfelt letter to a partner about the band being in a miracle of life and also makes them feel romantic.

The song "Montana Skies" shifts the pace to do something more laid back while describing that they have friends and people in their life’s that they live in more busy cities like New Jersey or Calabasas.  The song "Wings" is the lead single of the album. I love this album so much because I love the band and I love all the songs from the album. I also can’t wait for more Jonas Brothers concerts in the future.

Kung Fu Panda 4

By Ben Zion

I've been a huge Kung Fu Panda fan since 2013 or 2014. My favorite character is Po. My favorite Kung Fu Panda movies are Kung Fu Panda 1 (the Kung Fu Panda franchise began with on June 6, 2008), 2 (came out on May 26, 2011) and 3 (came out on January 29, 2016). I am looking forward to this movie. It's going to be about Po leaving the Valley of Peace for the city, where he has to face The Chameleon, a villain who can summon enemies from his past. In addition to dealing with The Chameleon, Po also has to look for a replacement as he realizes that he cannot be the Dragon Warrior forever. I want to see Tai Lung (the villain of the first film), Lord Shen (the villain of the second film) and Kai (the villain of the third film) team up.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Review by Laryssa Ertel

On Tuesday, May 9, I saw Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. Just when I thought the MCU died after Endgame, the third and final installment of the Guardians Of The Galaxy Trilogy swooped right in and saved it. What an amazing end to an amazing trilogy! I loved it! It was super entertaining and extremely action packed! Not to mention this film was an emotional rollercoaster, as there were times when it got HEAVY. There were some scenes in this film that were very heavy, and dealt with serious topics. But other than that, it was a great film. James Gunn did an amazing job writing and directing this film, and the acting was on point! I highly recommend GOTG Vol. 3! I give it 5 stars, since it was that amazing.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie Review by Ben Zion

The Super Mario Bros. Movie came out a month ago. I loved it. I saw it in the movie twice (I also saw Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in the movie theater twice). It was funny, awesome and action packed. It had so many references to the games and a reference to The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. Heck, it also had references to Game & Watch and Duck Hunt (I’m a huge Star Wars, Kung Fu Panda, Cars, Men in Black, SpongeBob SquarePants, BrainPOP, Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Game & Watch, Pac-Man, R.O.B., Mega Man, Kirby and Duck Hunt fan and I love them all equally). My favorite part is when Mario and Luigi touch the Super Star that Bowser stole in the beginning, turn invincible and defeat Bowser and his army. It also played many songs that I love which are “Battle Without Honor or Humanity”, “Take on Me” and “Thunderstruck”. I highly recommend this. I’ve been a huge Mario fan since 2009. My favorite Mario character is Mario. And my favorite Mario games are New Super Mario Bros. 1 and 2 and Super Mario Odyssey. Jack Black was a great choice to voice Bowser. Jack Black also voices Po from Kung Fu Panda (my favorite character), he made a cameo in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (I’m a fan of Dragon Ball, One-Punch Man, Family Guy, Beavis and Butt-Head, South Park, Brickleberry, Rick and Morty, Tim & Eric, Eminem, Nate Dogg, Going Overboard, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, Bad Moms, Old School, Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, M&M’s, Ted, Joe Cartoon, Full Metal Jacket, Pulp Fiction, Sisters, That ‘70s Show, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, Hot Tub Time Machine, Sausage Party, The Hangover, Da Ali G Show, Bad Teacher, Regular Show, Drake & Josh, Angry Birds and Rio and I love them all equally) and he was in a Season 3 episode of The Mandalorian.
